Job Description / Responsibility

    • Ensure that all new employees attend the Hotel Orientation program.
    • Assist HOD to conduct training needs analysis of the hotel and departments.
    • In conjunction with Department Heads, develop departmental on the job training schedules that meet departmental operating objectives.
    • Assist HOD to design, produce and implement training programs to meet specific department/hotel needs.
    • Work with HOD to establish a training library of books, videos, journals and resources to assist trainer and staff development.
    • Assist HOD to prepare and administer the training calendar on a regular basis.
    • Ensure all staff receives ongoing training in Corporate Training Programs.
    • Facilitate management training programs.
    • Source and obtain specialist assistance to conduct training when needed.
    • Monitor all training activities conducted on and off site.
    • Evaluate training effectiveness by attending as many training sessions as possible.
    • Liaise with educational institutions conducting hospitality training courses.
    • Maintain an up to date record of suppliers of training resources.
    • Implement opportunities for quality Team Building.
    • Ensure that all associates comply with the grooming and uniform standards.
    • Ensure compliance with legislated health and safety requirements within the workplace.
    • Comply with all Corporate and Hotel Standards and Procedures.
    • Promote by example the principles of "The Power of Service".
    • Actively promote a work environment, which cares for guests and associates alike.
    • Assist HOD to manage the administration of trainees and apprentices on the property.
    • Assist the Human Resources Department by fulfilling various human resources functions including, Recruitment and Selection, reference checking, filling etc.
    • Arranges interviews by coordinating schedules; calling applicants for interview and escorting them to interviews.
    • Coordinate associates accommodation requests.
    • Maintain Associate Notice boards.
    • Ensure that all associates comply with the grooming and uniform standards.
    • Maintain adequate stock supply in Human Resources Office.
    • Uphold the Marriott culture by demonstrating the Service Culture Standards at all times to guests and fellow associates.
    • Personally ensure compliance with all relevant Workplace Health & Safety and Occupational Health & Safety rules, and related "Le Meridien Dhaka" and Marriott Policies.
    • Anticipate guest's needs through observation and offer prompt, efficient service either personally or through effective communication with other associates.
    • Align working practices and conduct with Le Meridien Dhaka Vision; consistently strive to meet and exceed the expectations of both internal and external guests.
  • Handle internal customer concerns with empathy and understanding.
  • Carry out any additional duties as requested by the supervisor and Hotel Management.
